Making a donation

From this page, you can use a credit card to make a donation to me (Julian Bradfield) in appreciation of my Mah-Jong program.

(Are you in the UK? If so, please send me a cheque instead, or we'll both pay unnecessary charges!)

(You can also use PayPal -- send to mahjong@stevens-bradfield.com. This is also cheaper than using the button below. In this case, your donation will be acknowledged manually.)

Yes, part of my gift may be donated to Amnesty International

You might like to do this because you enjoy using my program, and would buy me a drink if you ever saw me! I know from my own experience that one can very seldom be bothered to donate, because it's too hard sending money to people in other countries. So I thought I would see what happens if I make it easy for people to donate. (Despite the fact that the README file asks for donations to Amnesty, or to me, out of hundreds of downloads not one person has done so. I don't believe either that the programs are so bad, or that nobody would like to recognize my work, so I put it down to the hassle of paying.)

Another reason is that I will try to recognize people who make donations. You can, if you like, be listed as a supporter. You will also get (if, and only if, you want them!) immediate announcements of upgrades, early access to new releases, and will be consulted on the priority of enhancements and upgrades. (Of course, I take suggestions from anybody, but supporters' suggestions will be at the head of the queue.)

Yet a third reason is that if you are a free software supporter, this is one way to demonstrate that it is possible not to lose money (as I do at present) by making free software. That's politics, though...

Important notes

Before you make a donation, please read and note the following points, for your protection and mine. So much for the formalities. Now some more important points:
